We've tried to make this a useful and informative reference site for security and privacy issues, while at the same time highlighting the security services and solutions we offer.

Please, if you don't do anything else while you're here, see our Recommendations for the absolute minimum information security precautions you should be taking, together with additional policy recommendations that will depend on the amount of risk you are exposed to. Information Privacy Requirements provides an overview of important new information privacy legislation, including California's Notice of Privacy Breech statute, often referred to as SB1386.   That statute, which took effect on July 1, 2003, poses a very significant risk to any organization, anywhere in the world,  if they do business in California, maintain certain personal data on California residents, and that information is acquired, or is reasonably believed to be acquired by an unauthorized person.  Such organizations are required to notify their California customers in the event of such a breech, unless the information was encrypted in one of a number of ways that we discuss  The recently proposed FDIC regulations apply a similar provision to banks throughout the US.

HIPAA Compliance provides an overview and introduction to the compliance requirements for the Health Improvement Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), and the services Jueneman Consulting, LLC offer  to assist health care providers, payee, and clearing houses in meeting their HIPAA requirements.
